Felicity "Is a dynamic, sensitive practitioner". A quote from a participant at a weekend retreat. She has been working with the voice for 30 years, asteacher, singer, coach, conductor and therapist. Having trained in the1980's and 90's to be a professional singer, she was acutely aware thatto become a professional performer would have been a difficult stepgiven her lack of self confidence. This started her on a quest of selfdiscovery, reflection and inner work which has enriched her life andher career with others.

About The Voiced Bodymind
Bodymindis a compound conjunction of body and mind, which, in scientificdisciplines, researchers have begun studying in order to move beyondthe dualist conceptions of body and mind that limit their medicalresearch.
Why The VOICED Bodymind? I have decided on this title as I hear sadness in the pelvis or joy in the heart -rigidity in the lower back and whether the client is on antidepressantsor has had recent terrible shock causing a reaction as if a blowbetween the shoulder blades. The information the voice gives meregarding the body's manifestation of thoughts end emotions or therefusal to feel them is endless. As I hear, I see and as I see, I hear. Workingwith bodies and voices offers such insight into suffering, abuse, joy, grief, pleasure, flow, stagnation and many other things. Many yearsof "hearing" bodies and "seeing" voices has given birth tothis sensitive work of The Voiced Bodymind, work wherethe recognition that every cell, every thought, every flow, every blockis expressed in the qualities of the Human voice. It is provocative andcontroversial and spans a 30 year exploration into why you have thesound you have and why I have mine. This is not the final word,it is ongoing work.
Sound is vibration - voice is vibration. As I look at you and you look at me there is vibration. There is vibration in all things. We might sense it, feel it see it. Thewind is there but we cannot see it - we do however see or feel the effects of it's vibrations.
Herbert Benson MDhas pioneered bodymind research, focusing on stress and the "relaxationresponse" in medicine. In his research, the mind and body are onesystem, in which meditation plays a significant role in reducing stressresponses (Benson 1972).
